If your website was built using the wildly popular WordPress content management system (CMS) there is an update available and you should upgrade immediately.
Released April 12th, the new version is 4.5.
You should see the update option in your WordPress Dashboard when you login with Administrator status.
Keeping WordPress up-to-date is considered a BEST PRACTICE and minimizes the ability for hackers to break into your website. Outdated WordPress software and outdated WordPress plugins are the number one way hackers get into WordPress websites.
It’s also a BEST PRACTICE to run a backup of your website BEFORE you start the upgrade. Tools like the Backup Buddy WordPress plugin from iThemes make it easy to perform a backup.
