When buying hosting for your website you may be tempted to buy a two or three year package because of the discount offered.

Not so fast.

Generally speaking, it’s probably NOT A GOOD IDEA to buy website hosting for more than one year at a time.

Things change so fast with hosting. In the past few years many hosting companies have been acquired by larger companies and their service and support takes a nose-dive.

Examples are Hostgator, Go Daddy, and Media Temple.

Buying hosting for three years at a time might not be the deal you think it is if you have to move it 6, 12, or 18 months into your renewal.

Are you looking for a new hosting company?

TAKE A LOOK AT SITEGROUND.

I recommend their Geek Plan, but only buy it one year at a time!
